The Big Tent DH Event

On Friday, April 19, the University of North Texas’ Digital Scholarship Co-Operative (DiSCo) will be hosting The Big Tent Event: Defining Digital Humanities for Graduate and Undergraduate Students. This half-day symposium will introduce undergraduate and graduate students to the field of Digital Humanities, bringing together scholars, students, librarians, and professors from across the disciplines at UNT to begin a dialogue around Digital Humanities research and pedagogy.

April 8, 2013 is the annual Day in the Life of the Digital Humanities (Day of DH).  Hosted this year by the Michigan State University MATRIX center, this is "an open community publication project that  brings together scholars interested in the digital humanities from around the world to document what they do on one day."  The UNT Digital Scholarship Co-Operative will be hosting an all day open house in our newly remodeled facilities, and will make those facilities available

AC Digital Humanities Colloquium

Austin College (Sherman, TX) on February 19 - 21 hosted a colloquium on the topic of digital humanities that was attended by librarians from the Cross Timbers area. This event (http://dh.austincollege.edu/?page_id=485) was an intriguing window into the emerging international landscape of digital humanities, with presenters from as far away as Hong Kong.
