CTLC Conference 2013 - Keynote Announced!

Dr. David Croson, SMU

The keynote presentation at the CTLC Conference on August 16 will be entitled “Entrepreneurial Strategy for Academic Information Services” by Dr. David Croson of SMU.  David Croson is Professor of Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Business Economics (Clinical Track) at the SMU Cox School of Business, where he has taught MBA-level courses on Entrepreneurial Strategy and Strategic Management since 2005 and now chairs the university-wide committee on innovation.  He holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics from Harvard and two degrees in applied economics from Penn State University (where, as an undergraduate, he supported himself through working in the mathematics library.)  From 2010-2012, he served as Program Director for the Science of Science and Innovation Policy (SciSIP) program at the National Science Foundation and, in 2012, was the co-chair of the Science of Science Policy Interagency Working Group in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.  In addition to publishing over thirty articles and numerous classroom exercises, Professor Croson frequently advises DFW-area startups and recently produced a short film on entrepreneurship.
