Alexia (Lexie) Thompson-Young, Licensing Coordinator for the UT System, and Clint Chamberlain, Coordinator for Information Resources at UT Arlington, are presenting a licensing workshop at the Eugene McDermott Library at the University of Texas at Dallas on Friday, May 10th from 10 am - 3 pm.   They will be covering aspects of how they license for both an individual institution and for the UT Digital Library.

On Friday, April 19, the University of North Texas’ Digital Scholarship Co-Operative (DiSCo) will be hosting The Big Tent Event: Defining Digital Humanities for Graduate and Undergraduate Students. This half-day symposium will introduce undergraduate and graduate students to the field of Digital Humanities, bringing together scholars, students, librarians, and professors from across the disciplines at UNT to begin a dialogue around Digital Humanities research and pedagogy.

April 8, 2013 is the annual Day in the Life of the Digital Humanities (Day of DH).  Hosted this year by the Michigan State University MATRIX center, this is "an open community publication project that  brings together scholars interested in the digital humanities from around the world to document what they do on one day."  The UNT Digital Scholarship Co-Operative will be hosting an all day open house in our newly remodeled facilities, and will make those facilities available

Austin College (Sherman, TX) on February 19 - 21 hosted a colloquium on the topic of digital humanities that was attended by librarians from the Cross Timbers area. This event (http://dh.austincollege.edu/?page_id=485) was an intriguing window into the emerging international landscape of digital humanities, with presenters from as far away as Hong Kong.

The University of North Texas Digital Scholarship Co-Operative invites proposals for Digital Frontiers 2013, a conference that brings together the users and builders of digital resources for research and education.

Digital libraries provide unprecedented access to materials, and this has dramatically expanded the possibilities of primary source research in the humanities and related fields.
