Austin College Digital Humanities Colloquium

AC Digital Humanities Colloquium

Austin College (Sherman, TX) on February 19 - 21 hosted a colloquium on the topic of digital humanities that was attended by librarians from the Cross Timbers area. This event (http://dh.austincollege.edu/?page_id=485) was an intriguing window into the emerging international landscape of digital humanities, with presenters from as far away as Hong Kong. Some highlights of the event included presentations on GIS research techniques by Angel Nieves from Hamilton College and Data Visualization by Sarah Kenderine of Hong Kong City University. Spencer Keralis of UNT presented on the future of digital humanities. Library staff from UT Dallas also attended this event.
